SnakeRock + Electric Blue featuring the Hagar Bros.
The Mariposa County Arts Council, along with our many fine sponsors, continue the 2010 season of Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings presenting SNAKEROCK on Friday, August 20th, and ELECTRIC BLUE featuring The HAGAR BROS. on Saturday, August 21st. SnakeRock – led by Bill DeWitt, son of the late music impresario Bob DeWitt – will be performing classic rock covers as well as original songs by DeWitt and new band member Glen Franklin; songs they’ve been recording for a future release. Electric Blue featuring the Hagar Bros. will be playing the high-energy electric Blues that they’ve become famous for, with Tim Hagar’s guitar pyrotechnics and brother Rob’s powerful blues harp (harmonica) blowing, figuring in prominently; mixing Muddy Waters to Jimi Hendrix with the elder Hagar’s original blues/rock tunes.
All performances for Mariposa Evenings will be held at the Mariposa County Arts Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in downtown Mariposa. There is ample, free parking on 5th Street, just a pleasant stroll along the Creek Walkway to the park, which will also provide handicap access. Tips are encouraged and appreciated. Each performance will begin at 7:00 pm. Mariposa Evenings is made available through generous donations by local businesses, which are featured in our Mariposa Evenings program. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for park seating. For more information call the Mariposa County Arts Council at (209) 966-3155, P.O.
