Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings

The Mariposa County Arts Council, along with our many fine sponsors, begin the 2010 season of Cousin Jack’s Mariposa Evenings on Friday, July 9^th with the MAJESTIC FOOLS, an alternative Folk-Rock group performing original songs in their own free-wheeling style; and on Saturday, July 10^th we present GREEN MACHINE, central California’s premier Reggae/Jam band that’s truly a feast for the eyes, ears and soul.

All performances for Mariposa Evenings will be held at the Mariposa County Arts Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4^th and 5^th Streets, in downtown Mariposa.  There is ample, free parking on 5^th Street, just a pleasant stroll along the Creek Walkway to the park, which will also provide handicap access.  Mariposa Evenings is made available through generous donations by local businesses, which are featured in our Mariposa Evenings program.  Musicians donate their performances to the community, so tips are encouraged and appreciated.  This activity is funded in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
