GOING DEEPER – REACHING OUT
A Performance Poetry Workshop & Performance:
with Claire Blotter  - Saturday, June 12, in Oakhurst
Claire Blotter, a former Poetry Slam National Finalist, has taught writing & performance poetry at S.F. State University, John F. Kennedy University, Dominican College & the College of Marin . She has published two poetry chapbooks & received numerous grants for poetry, theater & video.

WORKSHOP:  9:30am-12:30pm * $30 * Yosemite Gateway  Association Building , 40298 Junction Dr. , Ste. B
In this supportive workshop, we’ll write poems, poetic monologues & stories in the morning- and read or perform them at night! Inspired by writing exercises & the “Going Deeper” photography exhibit at Stellar Gallery, we’ll delve deeply into the wisdom & imagery of the unconscious mind, using sound & rhythm to access our unique poetic voices & share them in community. All levels welcome.

*To reserve limited workshop space, send a $30 check made out to Claire Blotter to 111 South St. , Sausalito , CA   94965 . For info: (415) 332-8421 or savesongbirds@yahoo.com

Charlotte Hoffman - “The California landscape inspires me. From the San Joaquin Valley to the Sierra Nevada, their subjects and colors beckon to be painted. Working from life and my photographs I capture the moments that move me.”

Phyllis McAdams -My style is Contemporary Realism. My subjects range from the common object to the human figure. I want to convince the viewer that there is beauty and interest, not only in the obvious but also in the unexpected and not-so-obvious. My aim is to give ordinary subjects a fresh and contemporary look.”
