“MINI” Show in Mariposa
The Sierra Artists Gallery in Mariposa will be having its Mini Show this year,
March 9 thru 21st, 2010.
In case you weren’t aware of this, Elizabeth Specht, the person who had been almost literally putting on the show single-handedly over the past ten or so years, passed away last summer. The gallery members were then unsure if we wanted to do this ourselves, or put on some other type of show in its place. So with much discussion and soul searching, we decided to go ahead and do it, but with some modifications.
Eligibility - This is an open juried exhibition, and all artists are invited to participate. Work must be original by the artist.
Size – Image up to 8” by 10” (not including frame). Sculptures not exceed 6” x 6” x 6” including base.
Media – Acceptable media are: Drawing (pencil, charcoal, ink, pastel, colored pencil, and clayboard) Paintings (watercolor, acrylic, and oil) Mixed media, Sculpture / Three dimensional.
The dates are similar to what they’ve always been, scheduled to coincide with the Storytelling Festival in Mariposa. If you have any questions, please call Carol Sill – 209-4385;
Lorie Setterberg – 209-742-4614
